HIX-VW1 cross-linked heat shrinkable polyolefin tubing is a cost effective choice for commercial applications. Its excellent flexibility offers a faster, reliable replacement for molding in place, dip coating and tape wrapping. HIX-VW1 is UL recognized and CSA certified at 125 ° C, 600V with UL VW-1 and CSA flame-retardance ratings. Material shrinks at a low temperature, reducing installation time and the risk of damage to heat sensitive components.

HIX is the most popular, general-purpose heat-shrinkable tubing used for insulating, jacketing, bundling and identification. It is mechanically tough, will not cold flow, never melts and will not split when shrunk over sharp, or irregularly shaped objects. Applicable Specifications: MIL-I-23053B/5, Classes 1, 2; AMS 3636B, AMS3637B. Operating Temperature Range: –55°C to 135°C (–67°F to 275°F). Shrink Ratio: 2 to 1 (50%). Shrink Temperature: 121°C (250°F).
HIX is mechanically tough and has good abrasion and solvent resistance.
