Araldite

Araldite industrial adhesives form extremely strong and durable bonds with plastic, metals, glass, rubber and composites, amongst many other materials. More than 3,000 companies around the world use Huntsman Araldite adhesives in demanding industries such as aerospace, automotive, wind energy, railway, construction to medical.

Araldite presents a complete range of adhesives to meet all engineering challenges. Based on three chemical components (epoxy, polyurethane and methacrylate), its adhesives provide superior adhesion to plastics, metals and composites.

Araldite is Huntsman Advanced Materials’ range of high quality industrial adhesives. This brand is a leader in performance, innovation and development, with a solid reputation in the industrial and commercial world. The brand is associated with success, training designers, manufacturers and technicians to create higher quality products. Its product range has more than 340 industrial adhesives and five adhesion technologies: epoxy, polyurethane, methacrylate, phenolic and hot melt.

Araldite adhesive sets by the interaction of a resin with a hardener. Heat is not necessary although warming will reduce the curing time and improve the strength of the bond. After curing, the joint is claimed to be impervious to boiling water and all common organic solvents. It is available in many different types of pack, the most common containing two different tubes, one each for the resin and the hardener. Other variations include double syringe-type packages which automatically measure equal parts.
