Stanley Electric Co., Ltd., was established in 1920 by Mr. Takaharu Kitano. In those days, there were no more than 8,000 cars in Japan, and they were all imported models. Under the circumstances, it certainly took courage, vision, and a challenging spirit to start a company devoted to the manufacturing of automotive light bulbs.
Regarding electronic components, Stanley Electric has been successful in the research and development of value-added products such as semiconductors, parts for information/communications devices, and of course lighting devices. By offering a large variety of products for use in a wide range of industries, we as a company become part of the success our customers enjoy.

Introducing LUXdrive’s revolutionary LED light module featuring the Stanley 265nm LED. This module integrates the Stanley UV-C chip onto a unique 20mm hexagonal metal core circuit board, delivering unparalleled disinfection efficiency. With a maximum drive current of 500mA, this LED provides over 70mW output power at 440mA, setting a new standard in UV-C technology.
The Stanley 265nm LED represents a breakthrough, overcoming challenges associated with shorter wavelengths. By utilizing high-quality AlN single crystal substrates from HexaTech, Stanley achieves an exceptionally low dislocation density of approximately 10^4 cm^-2, a fraction of what is typically found in AlGaN layers grown on sapphire substrates. This innovative approach enables the growth of AlGaN layers with superior UV transparency.
In sterilization tests, the 265nm LED exhibited germicidal effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 1.8 times higher than that of 280nm LEDs. Additionally, the actual germicidal power of the 265nm LEDs surpassed that of 280nm LEDs by approximately 1.3 times. LuxDrive’s LED light module featuring the Stanley 265nm LED not only offers enhanced throughput and design flexibility for disinfection devices but also sets a new standard in UV-C technology. Typical applications include disinfection of water/liquids, surfaces, inspection light sources, and air purification.
