It supplies analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products to various markets, such as the industrial, communications, computing, consumer, medical, automotive, wireless handsets, liquid crystal display monitors, personal computers, and digital television in the Americas, Europe, Japan, and the Asia Pacific region. The company offers operational and audio amplifiers; power references, regulators, and switches; communication interface circuits; analog to digital converters; radio frequency integrated circuits; flat panel display drivers and signal processors; local area and wireless networking and wireless communications; and products for personal systems and personal communications. It also offers microcontrollers, advanced input/output personal computer products, connectivity processors, and embedded Bluetooth solutions.

The company’s product portfolio focuses on providing customers with analog, mixed-signal and integrated processor solutions for the information age, which are critical for wireless communications, information infrastructure, display, imaging, human interface and information appliances.

In 2011 TI bought National Semiconductor for about $6.5 billion in cash.
