NIC Standard Capacitor Types
Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
NIC offers one of the industry’s most extensive ranges of aluminum electrolytic capacitors, with operating temperatures from -55°C to +150°C, capacitance values from 0.1µF to 82,000µF, and voltage ratings from 2VDC to 550VDC. Available in solid polymer, hybrid (solid + liquid), and liquid electrolyte constructions, these capacitors come in multiple series to meet different design needs, including low ESR, high ripple current (RCR), low leakage, bi-polar, and extended lifetime ratings. They are available in SMT and LDD package formats, including V-chip, flat-chip, radial, snap-in, and screw terminal types.
Ceramic Capacitors
NIC’s ceramic capacitors are highly reliable, suitable for various consumer products such as smartphones and tablets. The multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) include automotive-grade options and low equivalent series inductance (ESL) capacitors.
Double Layer Capacitors

Film Capacitors
NIC’s film capacitors provide stable performance with low loss and self-healing characteristics, ideal for a wide range of circuit applications. They include safety-agency-approved ratings (UL, cUL, ENEC, CQC) for AC line interference suppression and voltage dropper applications. The dielectric materials include Polypropylene (PP), Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), Polyester (PET), Polyethylene Naphthalate (PEN), and Acrylic Polymer film, available in wound element (LDD) and stacked element (SMT) constructions.
Tantalum Electrolytic Capacitors
Tantalum capacitors from NIC feature high capacitance in smaller form factors, ideal for applications where space is limited. They are available in surface mount molded chip format and radial leaded (LDD) formats, with capacitance values from 0.1µF to 1500µF, operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +125°C, and voltage ratings from 2.5VDC to 50VDC. High-performance polymer cathode tantalum capacitors with low ESR and high ripple current ratings are also available.
