1978: Ohmtek, Inc. is formed by Dr. Frank Collins and a group of investors who acquire the equipment of Airco Speers when it exits the electronics R&D sector. 2007: Name is changed to Thin Film North America and the group is moved to the Vishay Americas sales team under Vishay Dale.
