Ranatec has been in business for almost 30 years, with a history dating back to the 1960’s. Ranatec has its roots in a Swedish company called Magnetic AB, that developed Radar Products such as Noise Figure Meters. When Magnetic started delivering basestations with filter for the NMT-system 450 MHz in the 1970’s, Ericsson became interested and later, in the 1980’s, acquired the company. However, the instrument and radar system part of Magnetic was sold by Ericsson, and in 1991 it became what is today Ranatec AB. Since then, Ranatec has developed a wide range of products within different areas, for some of Europe’s most prominent companies in the industry.
