Founded in February 1982 by former CEO James Logan in the laundry room of a home in Wayland, MA, MicroTouch started with a mission to develop touchscreen software for PCs. In February 2021, TES America, LLC acquired key assets from 3M® TouchSystems, including MicroTouch. Under TES, MicroTouch was reintroduced with a refreshed brand image, a renewed vision, and an expanded line of projected capacitive touch monitors—marking a strong comeback for the brand.
Today, MicroTouch technology enhances business and commercial transactions everywhere—from self-checkout kiosks in stores and supermarkets to gaming machines in casinos, self-check-in at airports, and patient monitoring in hospitals and clinics.
