SG73 Series Surge Current Thick Film Resistors

Superior to RK73B/RK73H series in surge dielectric withstanding voltage. The KOA SG73 family provides a range of chip resistor solutions with high surge and pulse withstanding capabilities. Pulse-tolerant resistors in this series can handle higher pulse loads compared to standard resistors of the same size, thanks to their ‘reduced hotspot design’ which allows for greater power dissipation in steady state conditions. This design enables the use of smaller SG73 resistors, like the 0402 size, in place of larger standard resistors like the 0805 or 1206. The KOA SG73 series is specifically engineered to endure current and ESD surges. KOA offers the SG73S, SG73P, and SG73G series with tighter tolerances down to ±0.25%. The SG73G series, the latest addition, is ideal for precision applications such as high-accuracy voltage sensing, as well as in automotive and industrial applications.
