The Ametherm MM35 series comprises NTC thermistors engineered for inrush current limiting, capable of withstanding high input energy of 1200J and maintaining steady-state currents within the range of 50.0 to 80.0A at 680V. These thermistors come in packages suitable for DIN rail mounting and are ideal for optimizing power distribution in high-power industrial applications and green energy systems, including variable-frequency motor drives, transformers, wind turbines, large inverters, and both single- and three-phase motors.

These thermistors offer a space-efficient and cost-effective solution, serving as single-component alternatives to using power resistors in conjunction with relays or MOSFETs. This simplifies design processes significantly. Additionally, installation is straightforward, as these devices are designed to be used with a DIN block. This allows for easy mounting within a power control box using just a screwdriver. Within the MM35-DIN series, there are four thermistor models, each characterized by a resistance of 0.2 to 1.5 ohms at 25C, a maximum power rating of 38.4W, and thermal time constants of less than 300 seconds. These devices have a diameter of 68.0 mm and thickness options of 8.5 mm and 9.5 mm.
