Voltage regulators play a critical role in electronic circuits by maintaining a stable output voltage even when the input voltage or load conditions fluctuate. Linear voltage regulation uses a pass element—typically a bipolar transistor or field-effect transistor (FET)—connected in series with the load. Control circuitry drives the pass element to deliver a nearly constant voltage across the load, regardless of variations in supply voltage or load current. Products in this category provide the control functionality required for use with an external pass element, unlike integrated linear regulators that combine both the control circuitry and pass element within a single package.

We offer a broad selection of switching regulators and controllers designed for step-up (boost), step-down (buck), and inverting applications. These devices support fixed or adjustable output voltages and can deliver output currents of up to 2 A. Available features across the portfolio include low-battery detection, adjustable current limiting, multiple switching frequency options, and designs requiring fewer external components. This highly integrated and flexible product family is optimized to reduce board space and simplify designs in space-constrained applications.
