1696B B&K Precision Power Supply Bench (AC to DC) 100 ~ 240VAC 200WLCD 1 ~ 20VDC 0 ~ 10A Programmable, RS232 Port, Software, DC Power Supply: 7.6 in H x 7.6 in W x 7.6 in D, 240 V AC Input Volt – Max, Switching DC power supplies install on a bench to monitor output voltage and current. They employ a switching regulator to convert AC to DC power, using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). This method generates more noise than other styles, but requires little power draw. Applications include R&D, waste treatment, DC motors, and aviation.
The 1696B series of power supplies have programming and protection features that are more advanced compared to the previous models. The front panel includes a large LCD with numeric keys, a rotary control knob, and a dedicated V-set/I-set button for convenient control. The voltage, current, and power meter measurements are displayed simultaneously with 4-digit resolution.
This benchtop power supply features improved display accuracy, simplified programming, and a USB interface with added support for basic SCPI commands.
