LOCTITE® EA 3501 HT is a grey, epoxy-based seam sealant paste designed to prepare primed or bare, oily metal for high-temperature paint bake processing, including metal pretreatment, e-coat/primer paint and powder/top-coat stages. It’s suitable for a wide range of substrate gauges ranging from thin sheet metals to rigid castings and extrusions and is typically used for seam sealing between welded/bonded joints, overlap joints and butt joints. LOCTITE EA 3501 is compatible with most metal pretreatment processes and is designed to maintain its physical properties and performance up to 225°C (437°F). It’s pumpable without preheating and easy to smooth by finger or with a smoothing agent after application.
