Ametherm miniAMP Inrush Current Limiters
Ametherm miniAMP Series Inrush Current Limiters are designed for applications where board space is limited and cool operation is desired. The miniAMP series is rated for 250mA to 3A continuous current and up to 20 joules of input energy, available in 3, 5, and 8mm diameters and weigh as little as .06 grams. The miniAMP Series is a cost effective and efficient way to protect components such as relays, diodes, and fuses from inrush current.
THERMISTOR OVERVIEW
The term “thermistor” originated from the descriptor THERMally Sensitive ResISTOR. The two basic types of thermistors are the Negative Temperature Coeffi- cient (NTC) and Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC). The NTC thermistor is best suited for precision temperature measurement. The PTC is best suited for switching applications.
