Square D LA magnetic only molded case circuit breakers (Mag-Gard) provide motor circuit protection. They are designed as disconnect devices for use in combination with motor starts. They are magnetic detection so provide short circuit protection only. This Square D LA Mag-Gard is 3 pole unit mount, 400A and 600VAC, with lugs. Mag-Gard circuit breakers have an adjustable amperage pick up so can be set to open instantaneously to coordinate with the motor.
