Description
The ULV(V=vertical & ULH(H=horizontal) models are UL approved metal-clad, wire-wound high-power resistors designed for industrial and other applications. Our extruded aluminium housing provides rugged and strong protection. These models are available with flying leads or Tab terminals and can be ordered with inductive or non-inductive windings. To conform to UL safety requirements, ULV/ULH models differ from IRV/IRH models in that: The resistance range is smaller, the flying leads are UL approved and the dielectric strength depends on the ohmic value.
The ULV500 metal clad wire wound resistor series from RARA offers a power rating of up to 500W on a heat sink (300W in free air) with available resistance values between 0.1Ohm and 6.8kOhm (inductive design) or between 0.1Ohm and 3kOhm (non-inductive design). These high power resistors are available being UL approved and with tolerances of 0.5%, 1.0%, 2.0%, 5.0% and 10.0% as standard with other options available including flying leads or tab terminals, as well as inductive or non-inductive resistive windings. The ULV500 series from RARA has an extruded aluminium vertical housing providing strong and rugged protection all with a temperature range from -55C up to +200C
