MLCC is an electronic part that temporarily stores an electrical charge and is classified according to the rate of decay of capacity at a certain temperature. MLCC consists of a conducting material and electrodes. To manufacture a chip-type SMT and achieve miniaturization, high density and high efficiency, ceramic condensers are used.
For use in applications at high frequencies such as cellular phones, PDAs and camcorders, ceramic capacitors must feature low equivalent series resistance(ESR) and high quality factor(high Q). MLCC used at high frequencies generally have a small temperature coefficient of capacitance(TCC), typical within the ± 30ppm/ °C required for COG classification and have internal electrode of Pd and Cu. Thus, the technologies will lead to extremely reliably, stable capacitors that feature low ESR and high Q characteristics as well as high conducting electrode.
