The resistors are constructed in a high grade ceram ic body (aluminum oxide). Internal metal electrodes are added at each end and connected by a resistive past e that is applied to the top surface of the substra te. The composition of the paste is adjusted to give the ap proximate resistance required and the value is trim med to nominated value within tolerance which controlled b y laser trimming of this resistive layer.
