Ametherm’s SM04, SM06, and SM08 series surface-mount thermistors offer high-accuracy temperature compensation and measurement with maximum power ratings of 125 mW, 200 mW, and 250 mW, respectively. These thermistors feature thermal time constants as low as 1.5 seconds and profiles as thin as 0.35 mm, making them ideal for space-constrained designs like LCD controls, relay coils, and hybrid circuits. They offer a cost-effective alternative to radially leaded and through-hole thermistors, supporting automated insertion during manufacturing.

Available resistance ranges from 200 Ω to 470 kΩ, with tight tolerances down to 1% and beta values ranging from 2500 °K to 4500 °K. Operating temperatures range from -40°C to +125°C. The SM04, SM06, and SM08 series feature nickel barrier terminations suitable for wave and reflow soldering, and they are offered in tape-and-reel packaging in quantities of 100 to 5,000 pieces.
