Sensing Technologies

Sensing TechnologiesFor over three decades, the team at Sensing Technologies Inc (STI) has collaborated closely with clients across diverse industries including HVAC, refrigeration, food service, pool/spa, medical, automotive, and military/defense. At Sensing Technologies, quality takes precedence above all else. Recognizing the challenges posed by reduced engineering resources in today’s landscape, Sensing Technologies positions itself as a strategic partner for companies seeking to augment their engineering capabilities. Clients are encouraged to view Sensing Technologies as more than just a supplier, but as a collaborative ally in the design, development, and manufacturing of high-quality, precision temperature sensors and probe assemblies.

Temperature measurement requirements vary greatly across different applications. Sensing Technologies believes that the successful design of a temperature sensor necessitates a collaborative approach between the client and the manufacturer. This process begins with a comprehensive understanding of the application’s specific needs, including temperature range, accuracy, thermal response, and electrical isolation. Equally crucial are considerations regarding environmental factors such as moisture and chemical resistance, vibration, freeze/thaw cycling, and thermal shock.

STI NTC thermistors are manufactured from a specially-formulated metal oxide ceramic material that is extremely accurate in sensing temperature. Same high quality material is used in wide variety of housings and leaded parts for various applications. Sensing Technologies STI offers a diverse range of Thermistor sensors with resistance values spanning from 100 ohms to 5M ohms and tolerances including ±1%, ±2%, and even as precise as ±0.1°C. Choosing the right temperature sensor has never been simpler.

Their high-temperature Glass Body thermistors are available in both axial and radial leaded configurations, while their Epoxy Coated style thermistors come with radial uninsulated lead wires or lead wires with Kynar and Teflon insulation options. Sensing Technologies’ precision interchangeable epoxy-coated thermistors offer tight accuracies down to +/- 0.1 degrees C.
