Mersen’s arc flash fuses provide Type 2 no-damage circuit protection and are available in four classes: Class CC, Class J, Class RK1, and Class L. These fuses open in less than a quarter cycle under short circuit conditions, limiting current enough to prevent downtime and arc flash damage. Their current-limiting capability is among the highest in the industry, ensuring reliable performance during motor starts and transformer inrush currents without causing nuisance tripping. The Smart Spot open fuse indicator, integrated into the fuse line, changes from silver to red when a fuse opens, allowing for quick and easy identification of blown fuses.
